Capes and Crowns is a family dance party designed for the whole family. Come dressed as your favorite royal or superhero. The event will include music, games, crafts, photos and snacks. Tickets are $25 per family.

How You Can Help
There are several ways you can support families through the Keweenaw Family Resource Center. Your tax-deductible donation helps provides families in the Baraga, Houghton and Keweenaw Counties with access to programs and services strength, support and enrich their families.

- $35 provides diapers for a family through the Baby Closet
- $65 provides snacks at playgroups for an entire week
- $132 provides books to 5 children for the entire year through Dolly Parton Imagination Library
- $195 provides high-quality learning activities and toys for families
Partner with KFRC
Become a partner with KFRC’s mission by making a general donation to support the programs and services.
- $200-$499 – Supporter
- $500-$999 – Friends of the Tree House Indoor Playground
- $1000 -$4999 – Community Partners
- $5000 and up – Patrons
Sponsorship Opportunities
Sponsor a day at the Tree House Indoor Playground or an organized playgroup. KFRC’s Play-based programs support families through the Keweenaw Family Resource Center with building healthy relationships, social and emotional development and school readiness. Sponsor:
- A day at the Tree House – $250 will provide access to The Tree House Indoor Playground for a day.
- A scholarship for a family – $280 provides a family membership to the Tree House Indoor Playground for an entire year. Scholarships are available to any family in home visiting, low-income households, foster families, active military and more.
- A playgroup – $350 sponsors a playgroup led by an early childhood professional. Each playgroup includes a snack, activity and circle time. Playgroups support school readiness, social and emotional development and school readiness.
When sponsoring, you may choose a special playgroup date or month; and you may sponsor in honor of someone special or for a notable occasion and KFRC will gladly display that information at the playgroup.
Make a Donation in Honor of Someone Special
Donations of any amount are appreciated at KFRC. If you would like to pay tribute to a family member or friend, please consider making a donation in his or her name to KFRC. Acknowledgement of the donation will be sent to the individual or their family and will be listed in the spring edition of the KFRC newsletter which recognizes and thanks all donors from the previous year.
Endowment Fund
KFRC has a designated Endowment Fund with the Keweenaw Community Foundation. Gifts to this fund will benefit KFRC programs. Please call the Keweenaw Community Foundation at (906) 482-9673 to receive more information or to make a gift.
