A playgroup setting offering parents and children the chance to interact in an enriching environment, including singing, dancing, reading and arts and crafts. Registration is required and may be completed upon arrival to playgroup. Or you may print our registration form here and mail it to KFRC.

For the months of June - September, KFRC and BHK Child Development Board present Playtime in the Park for preschoolers and their siblings. Print a copy of the 2008 schedule here. All families must complete a registratin form. Forms will be available at each park and can also be printed here.
Home Visitation Program
A trained, professional home
visitor makes weekly
visits to provide support and information to
pregnant women and parents of infants and toddlers ages 0 -36 months.
Each new mother at Keweenaw Memorial Medical Center and Portage Health System receives a visit and a "Welcome Baby" bag containing information on community resources, child health, safety and development and the opportunity to sign up for 12 (free) issues of "Parenting: The First Year" newsletter. If you did not receive a visit in the hospital and would like to receive a copies of the First Year newsletters, please print the following registration form and mail it to KFRC. Donations of gently used baby items, baby clothes, and maternity wear are accepted at KFRC and in turn distributed to families who can use them.
